Weekacura Waterfall
A waterfall with tiered natural rock pools, ringed by rice fields, and far easier to reach than Sumba's other falls.
An unusual setting
What makes Weekacura interesting is not its height but its surroundings. It sits in the middle of rice fields, so you get clear water framed by green terraces — a combination you will not find at Sumba's other falls, which are mostly hidden in forest.
Tiered pools
The water runs through several natural rock basins at different levels. The lowest is shallow enough to sit in comfortably.
The easiest one to reach
Compared with Lapopu, Tanggedu, Waimarang or Matayangu, Weekacura asks the least of you — a short walk from the car, no real trekking. It suits travellers with children or older parents.
